The Dartmouth and District Pipe Band placed second in the Grade 3A category at the World Pipe Band Championships in Glasgow, Scotland, on Aug. 17.

A woman in Dartmouth, N.S., is raising concerns about the lack of walk-in clinics in the area, after discovering that there appears to be only one location open and it's operating at reduced hours and capacity.

Yvonne Rafuse and Betty Rhodenizer of Dayspring, N.S., have been advocating for a new monument to be placed at the Hillside Cemetery. They want the names of the people buried there former residents of the Lunenburg County Home to be listed at the site, but so far theyve had no luck with municipal officials.
