Drumheller Institution inmate found dead in cell

A23-year-old inmate atthe Drumheller Institution was found dead in his cell on Wednesday, says Correctional Service Canada.

Cody Osterland was found unresponsive in his cell at the medium security prison, according to a news release.

Osterland had been at the Drumheller Institution since October 2014 serving a three-year, five-monthsentence for a number of convictions, including stolen and forged credit cards,drug trafficking, theft, and possession of a weapon.

The family has been notified of his death.

Correctional Service Canada will be investigating the incident.
